Comparison of Paley and Lessig.

Nina Paley and Lawerence Lessig.      Looking at the subject of remix, there were many aspect that I personally didn't understand or wasn't aware of till today. One of those aspect was Copyright, after watching Paley's tedtalk and reading some part of Lessig's book "Remix" I was able to understand how some point of view may be wrong or right depend how you look at it.      On copyright, people may understand that it is wrong that someone can profit from the work of others. However, understanding Paley's point of view, thru remix we share and develop our own culture, and even though someone can profit from someone work, they are also sharing further knowledge into our society. As Lessig said on his book, "we have come from a read-write culture to an only read culture" explains that due copyright laws we are more restricted to growth our culture.      Aside of how copyright laws affect society and even the economy, Paley and Lessig...

Carlo Keshishian: an remix from the outside.

Carlo Keshishian Looking at the above picture at the museum, I was kind of confuse about their meaning.  However, Mr. Keshishian made a effort to take multiple perspective into this theme, creating this  master piece that even looking at it and try to understand it for more than 1 hour, still let you question it. The art itself is open for many interpretation and comparision. Nonetheless, we were only able to contrast it with outsider artist Vojislav Jakić, whom drawing make some similarity to Keshishian on the way they took multiple perspective into a specific theme.
